TFM was appointed as the scaffold and asbestos contractor

TFM was appointed as the scaffold and asbestos contractor for the Fort Regent Swimming Pool. DB Cummins required a scaffold and asbestos team to work in a location exposed to gale-force winds and potential storm conditions. This provided many challenges, both natural and man made, with the thriving gym and sports hall located in close proximity. Due to the extraneous circumstances the scaffold needed to be built to a design which used a lateral tying method and kentledge weight on the western gable. Furthermore the scaffold specification needed to comply with the requirements of the asbestos team, meaning it was built using ranch boards throughout and with 8 haki staircases built internally and externally.

The scaffolders were all fully ARCA trained and worked accordingly to plans of work which the TFM management team set out to provide the safest method of scaffolding in exposed areas.
